Marion City Library Lunch and Learn

Cheri Ochs Wheeler explains some of her creations.

The Marion County Library hosted a lunch and learn on Wednesday, Nov. 14. In addition to a presentation on how to decorate for the holidays, there was a meal of soup and sandwiches followed by a pumpkin dessert.

Cheri Ochs Wheeler shared with the women attending about telling your story through decorating for the holidays. She shared helpful tips and examples. “Think about your shapes. Think about your textures. It’s about layering and should be simple and fun,” said Wheeler. “Decorating doesn’t have to cost a lot. Use your life and your memories to tell your story.”

Women enjoyed the warm meal provided by the FamLee Bakery in Newton.
