Marion boys lose to Belle Plaine, 68-64

In a game rescheduled from Dec. 17, the Marion boys basketball team lost to Belle Plaine Monday, 68-64, despite holding the lead heading into the final quarter.

Marion built a 21-12 lead by the end of the first quarter, and held a 35-26 advantage at halftime.

By the end of the third quarter, Marion was in front, 54-45.

Belle Plaine, however, outscored the Warriors, 23-10 in the fourth quarter to claim the four-point win.

Coming–Both Marion teams will return to action Friday at Council Grove.
