Man missing at Marion Reservoir

On Sunday, June 30 at 1:20 a.m. the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing boater at the Marion Reservoir. The man’s truck and boat trailer were found at the Marion Cove boat ramp.

The following agencies responded: Marion County Sheriff’s Office, boats from the US Army Corps of Engineers and Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism, and an aircraft from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The unoccupied boat was recovered at 3:07 a.m. floating against some trees along the north side of the reservoir near Nighthawk Rd. A Search and Rescue operation continues for the missing boater, Steven Meyer, age 46 from Eudora, KS. The family has asked the name to be withheld.
