KJELLIN RESIGNS as Marion city administrator

Marion City Administrator Doug Kjellin submitted his resignation to the council on Sept. 11 stating his last day would be Wednesday, Sept. 25.

In the letter, Kjellin stated his reason for leaving was to pursue private business opportunities.

The council is expected to act on the matter at its regular meeting starting at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 16 in council chambers. All council meetings are open to the public.

Kjellin was city administrator for almost three years.
