KDOT announces pavement reconstruction

The Kansas Department of Transportation released the following information:

US-56/US-77 Pavement Reconstruction
Beginning Monday, March 11, work will begin on a three-mile-long section of US-56/US-77 for pavement reconstruction. The section begins five miles north of Lincolnville and extends north to the Marion/Dickinson county line.

Traffic can expect delays of up to 15 minutes. Traffic will be carried through construction around the clock utilizing traffic signals. A ten-foot width restriction, extending from Marion to Herington will be in effect for the duration of the project. Work is to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a work zone. Persons with questions about this road work or other KDOT projects may call North Central Kansas Public Affairs Manager Ashley Tammen at (785) 826-6799.
