The Hillsboro volleyball team earned a return trip to the Class 3A state tournament in Salina by sweeping through the sub-state field at Sedgwick on Saturday.
The Trojans? opened with an easy 25-14, 25-13 win over Lyons, then defeated Marion in the semifinals, 25-19, 25-17, then took care of No. 1 seeded Remington in dominant style, 25-12, 25-22.
For most of the players, this will be a return? trip after a disappointing performance in pool play a year ago. The Trojans will open pool play this year on Friday morning. The pairings will be announced this weekend.?
