Hillsboro High announces homecoming candidates

Potential royalty includes five candidates for both king and queen.

Hillsboro High School announced its candidates for homecoming queen and king during an all-school assembly on Friday, Sept. 14.

Selected by the student body as candidates for queen are Suzy Lindsay, Rachelle Goldsby, Meghan Jost, Amy Neufeld and Audrey Weinbrenner.

Selected as king candidates are Gavin Serene, Jacob Yoder, Spencer Brown, Cody McMillen and Mathew Brown.

The king and queen will be announced during a crowning ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, prior to the 7 p.m. homecoming football game with Ellinwood.

Other community-wide activities planned for homecoming Friday are a downtown parade and pep rally at 2:45 p.m. at Main Street and Grand Avenue, and a tailgate party at Reimer Field beginning at 5:30 p.m.
