Hillsboro administrators to retire

The USD 410 school board met on Monday, Nov. 8 and learned that Hillsboro Elementary School Principal Evan Yoder will be retiring after the current school year. Yoder has been with the district in several different positions since the early 80s and has impacted the lives of hundreds of students over the years.

“I’ve been blessed by some amazing young folk—they’ve kept me energized,” said Yoder. “I’m so anxious to read how they all turn out. That should give me a lifetime of pleasure.”

Superintendent Max Heinrichs also announced his retirement at the meeting. He will retire at the end of the year as well.

Both men will be featured in articles in the future closer to their retirements.
