HHS standout Dakota Kaufman nominated for McDonald’s All American Team

Hillsboro High School senior Dakota Kaufman is among the 2,000 high school players nationwide to be nominated to the 2010 McDonald?s All American High School Basketball Girls Team.

The 6-foot post is a two-time first-team all-league selection. This season Kaufman is averaging just over 19 points and 7 rebounds per contest and has led the Trojans to an 8-4 record.

From the field of nominees, 24 female athletes will be chosen to compete in the 2010 McDonald?s All American Games. The selections will be announced Feb. 11 on ESPNU. The girls? game will be played at 4:30 p.m. (CST) at the Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.

?Dakota has had a great career here at Hillsboro and this is a great honor,? coach Nathan Hiebert said of her nomination.
