Friday?s football game between Hillsboro High School and Smoky Valley will be played in Lindsborg after all.
It was discovered Wednesday morning (Sept. 10) that the crane that was on site at Reimer Field in Hillsboro was insufficient to erect the new light poles, and a bigger one will be needed.
As a result, Reimer Field will not be ready to host an evening football game by Friday.
Instead, the game, with kickoff set for 7 p.m., will be played on the Bethany College campus, which has provided the home field for Smoky Valley for many years.
Because of the switch, next year?s game between the Trojans and Vikings will be played at Hillsboro.
