Gordon takes first place at Bennington

Led by Luke Gordon, the Marion High School golf team took second place at the Bennington Invitational Tuesday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.

With a team score of 355, the Warriors placed five strokes behind Clay Center but two strokes ahead of Hillsboro in the 12-team competition.
Gordon?s round of 77 earned him the individual title. Daniel Kunantaev (86) took seventh and led Hillsboro. Marion?s Lindsay Hett (88) placed eighth while Daniel Dick (88) placed tenth and Jacob Kenney (90) placed 14th for Hillsboro.


Both teams will compete at the same course at Friday?s Salina Sacred Heart Invitational.
