Roy E. Unruh, 83, longtime owner of the Sausage House in Peabody, died April 25 at Peabody. The service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Peabody United Methodist Church with pastor David Ragland presiding. The burial will be private. He was born Feb. 22, 1928, to J.E. and Hannah (Wedel) Unruh in rural Goessel. On Aug. 17, 1950, he was married to Arlene R. Penner, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Duane D. of McPherson; two daughters, Cynthia Unruh of Springsdale, Ark., and Marilyn Unruh of Peabody; a brother, Harold of Goessel; two sisters, Eleanora Goertzen of Goessel and Janet Kaufman of Moundridge; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
