Ivan Wayne Nickel, 79, former Hillsboro Industries employee, died Oct. 15 at Newton Medical Center.
A memorial service is planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with pastors Tim Kliewer and Jeff Winter?mote officiating.
Burial will be at Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
He was born Oct. 10, 1929, to Henry E. and Kathryn (Willems) Nickel at Hillsboro.
He is survived by a sister, Ruth Schook of Corpus Christi, Texas, one niece, Winnie Rains of Sikpon, Mo., and two nephews, Craig Schook and Steve School, both of Corpus Christi.
Visitation at the church will be from 8:30 a.m. Saturday until the start of the memorial service.
