Arthur Balzer 94, retired school teacher, coach and guidance counselor for the Goessel, Moundridge, Plains, Lehigh and Hillsboro school districts, died Sunday, Dec. 12, at Kidron Bethel Healthcare in North Newton. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, rural Newton. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grace Hill Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton.
