Walter E. ?Gene? Street, 82, of Marion, a data process manager for three Kansas refineries, died Monday, Nov. 24 at Newton Regional Health Center in Emporia.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at Zimmerman Funeral Home. Visitation was from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment was at Grace Lawn Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 8, 1926, to Walter and Martha (Frohm) Street in rural Howard. On June 10, 1945, he married Nona M. McCormick, who survives him.
Other survivors include a son Rick Street of Pretty Prairie; daughter Autumn Hanson and husband Doug of Marion; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Midian Hospital Van Unit or the Alzheimer?s Association and left in care of the funeral home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, KS. 67349.
