DEATH: Victor Ray Winter, 70

Victor Ray Winter, 70, of Allen, a meat cutter at Iowa Beef Processors, later retiring from McDonalds Restaurant in maintenance, died Jan. 26 at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State St., Emporia, with Lee Hoskins officiating.

The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Marion Cemetery with pastor Dan Ferguson of the Eastmoor United Methodist Church officiating.

Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, and from 2 to 3 p.m., both on Monday, Feb. 2, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 320 S. Cedar St., Marion.

He was born Oct. 6, 1944, to Ruben and Ella (Ebel) Winter at Marion. He was married to Roberta Sue Hansen. They later divorced.

Survivors include son Robert Winter of Topeka; daughter Victoria and Jeremy Heinen of Lenexa; brother Earl Winter of Marion; sister Kathy Silhan of Pilsen and one grandchild on the way.

Memorials may be made to the Allen Volunteer Fire Department or the Marion Lutheran Church, and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, 605 State St., Emporia, KS 66801.
