T. A. (Ted) Friesen, 88, a farmer, died Monday, Jan. 19, at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at First Mennonite Church of Hillsboro with pastor Randy Smith officiating. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
He was born Feb. 3, 1920, to Abraham and Susanna (Penner) Friesen in Hillsboro. On Nov. 21, 1941, he was married to Florence Franzen, who survives.
He also is survived sons Richard and Anita Friesen of Hutchinson, and Jay and Bonnie Friesen of Magnolia, Texas; daughter Susan and Harold Schultz of Hillsboro; brother Alvin Friesen of Hesston; sisters Linda Bartel of American Falls, Idaho, Edna Reimer of Goessel and Evelyn Harms of Moundridge; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Mennonite Church or Kids Connection Preschool/Daycare in care of Jost Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Hillsboro, KS 67063.
