Selma Freni (Strausz) Klassen, 94, a clerk, typesetter and secretary, died Tuesday, April 7, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, 1304 Kansas Highway 15, Goessel. A private service was held Wednesday.
She was born Jan. 2, 1915, to Peter J. and Anna (Flickner) Strausz. On Oct. 22, 1937, she was married to Rudolph A. Klassen, who predeceased her.
Survivors include brother Melvin and Viola Strausz; children Donald and Roine Klassen, James and Ly Klassen, Vernell and Paul Miller and Cynthia and Les Goerzen; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
