Melvin L. Bartel, 79, employed in commercial printing, died Aug. 13, at Kidron Bethel Healthcare in North Newton.
Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Bethel College Mennonite Church Columbarium. Memorial service is at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel College Mennonite Church with Heidi Regier Kreider officiating.
He was born March 12, 1930, to Albert and Rosina Gaeddert Bartel in Hillsboro.
Survivors include sisters Ruth Ann Giggy of Panhandle, Texas and Thelma May Bartel of North Newton; brother Lewis and Darlene Bartel of Albuquerque, N.M., and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for Bethel College Mennonite Church, 2600 College Ave., North Newton, KS 67117-2803. Arrangements were by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
