DEATH: Marcella Klaassen

Marcella Marie Klaassen, 93, a registered nurse, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at First Mennonite Church, 102 S. Ash, Hillsboro, with pastor Randy Smith officiating. Prior to the service will be a private burial in the Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Visitation is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at First Mennonite Church Chapel.

She was born Oct. 3, 1915, to Isaac J. and Helen (Schroeder) Dick at Mt. Lake, Minn. On Dec. 27, 1940, she was married to Nick A. Klaassen, who predeceased her in 1990.

Survivors are sons Joel and Nancy Klaassen of Hillsboro and Mark Klaassen of Tulsa, Okla.; daughters Janet and Orvin Voth of Newton and Elaine Klaassen and Mike Iacono of Minneapolis, Minn.; sister Milly Stucky of North Newton; granddaughter Amy Cameli and George; great-grandsons Alex and Louis Cameli of Atlanta, Ga.; grandson Dan Klaassen of Yakima, Wash; granddaughter Jeanette Jungbauer and Scott and great-grandson Hunter Donovan and granddaughter Gloria Iacona both of Minneapolis, Minn.

A memorial fund has been established for First Mennonite Church, Mennonite Central Committee and Bethel College.
