DEATH Leland Unruh, 92

Leland Unruh, 92, a farmer and retired Kansas Jack Corporation employee , died Friday, March 20, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 23, at the Canton United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22 at Olson?s Mortuary, 139 N. Main, Canton. Burial will be in the Canton Township Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 17, 1916, to Jacob and Susie (Koehn) Unruh in McPherson County. On March 6, 1938, he was married to Elsie Unruh, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Glenda and Orman Schmidt of McPherson, Janice and Kenneth Nightingale of Moundridge and DeAnne and John Paul Unruh of Lamar, Colo.; brothers Harvey and Virgil of Moundridge, Eli of Galva and Lacey of Newton; son-in-law Dwight and Gail Ewert of Canton; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospital or McPherson Care Center and sent in care of Olson?s Mortuary, P.O. Box 355, Canton, KS 67428.
