Katie Funk Wiebe, 92, an author, teacher, mentor, historian, and much more, formerly of Hillsboro, died Oct. 23 in Wichita.
A memorial service will be Jan. 20, 2017, at Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church, and 655 S. Lorraine St., Wichita.
A viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28.
She was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Laird, Saskatchewan. On Aug. 21, 1947, she was married to Walter Wiebe, who predeceased her in 1962.
Survivors include daughters Joanna and husband Tim Baer and Susan Wiebe; son James and wife Kathy Wiebe; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
