DEATH John L. Hybsha, 77

John L. Hybsha, 77, a retired firefighter, died Thursday, April 16, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Goessel Mennonite Church, 109 S. Church, Goessel, with pastor Mike Hiebert officiating. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Miller Funeral Home, 303 E. Main St., Goessel. Burial will be at Claney Cemetery, south of Marion.

He was born Sept. 28, 1931 to John and Mary Ellen (Axtell) Hybsha in Barber County. On Dec. 26, 1985, he was married to Wilma Hybsha, who survives.

Other survivors include his son Leslie Hybsha of Newton; step-sons Kyle Schirer, Brian Schirer and Kent Schirer, all of Newton; daughters Lois Harris of Newton and Mary Marquez of Casper, Wyo.; step-daughter Brenda Jennings of Wichita; brother Al Hybsha of Medicine Lodge; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for Goessel Mennonite Church and donations may be sent in care of Miller Funeral Home, 303 E. Main St., Goessel, KS 67053.
