James Hiebert, 82, died Oct. 10 in Hillsboro.
The service is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Alexanderfeld Mennonite Church, one mile west and south of Hillsboro.
Visitation with family is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, also at the church.
He was born Aug. 5, 1933, to Henry G. and Margaret (Ensz) Hiebert at Hillsboro. On Sept. 18, 1955, he was married to Lillian Nikkel, who survives.
Other survivors include sons Reginald and wife Lori, Richard and wife Bonnie and Kevin and wife Kayla, all of rural Hillsboro, and Terry and wife Barbara of Pecos, Texas; daughters Sharon and husband Jim Mininger of Willcox, Ariz., Jenny and husband Shawn Horst of Bridgewater, Maine, Connie Hiebert of Hillsboro, Val and husband Tim Litwiller of rural Hillsboro and Darla and husband Kendall Wenger of Newton; 29 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and brothers Donald of Iroquois, S.D., and Van of Stapleton, Ga.
