Ira W. Hein, 86, a farmer and rancher, died Wednesday, July 1, at Via Christi St. Francis Burn Unit in Wichita.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church with pastor Dave Plett officiating. A private family burial is planned. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 S. Prairie Pt., Hillsboro.
He was born Dec. 8, 1922, to Henry W. and Tina (Duerksen) Hein, in rural Hillsboro. On March 14, 1944, he was married to Hilda Suderman, who predeceased him in 2005.
Survivors include son Rodney and Susan Hein of rural Hillsboro, brother Emice Hein, all of rural Hillsboro; and sister Viola Reeves; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
