DEATH: Harry R. Funk, 84

Harry R. Funk, 84, retired from Hesston Corporation in Hesston, died Friday, April 24, at his residence in Newton.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1000 N. Main, Newton, with pastor Dennis Voth officiating. A private burial will be at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at Peterson Funeral Home, 215 N. Main St., Newton.

He was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Corn, Okla. On May 29, 1945, he was married to Esther Martin, who survives.

Other survivors include daughters Maxine Kirkpatrick of Wichita and Peggy and Dennis Voth of Calgary, Canada; sons Dwayne and Leona Funk of Clinton, Okla., and Kenneth Funk of Destrehan, La.; brothers Melvin Funk of Beaumont, Texas and Joe Funk of Duncanville, Texas; sisters Rose Wiens of Mountain Lake, Minn. and Clara Vogt of Tulsa, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Newton and sent in care of Peterson Funeral Home, 215 N. Main St., Newton, KS 67114.
