DEATH: Galen Douglas Peterson, 72

Galen Douglas Peterson, 72, former owner and operator of the Herington Sale Barn, died May 4 at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.

The service is at 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, at the Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick, with pastor Bill Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hebron Lutheran Church.

He was born March 24, 1944, to Norman F. and Edna A. (Rindt) Peterson at Lost Springs. On Oct. 23, 1993, he was married to Janis T. Taylor, who survives.

Other survivors include son Ty and wife Amber Peterson of Tampa; daughter Trisha and husband Rick Ohnemiller of Caldwell; sister Gloria Martin of Lost Springs and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Hebron Lutheran Church and sent in care of Zeiner Funeral Home-Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS 67449-3038.
