DEATH: Ethan Andrew Schmidt, 39

Ethan Andrew Schmidt, 39, a professor at Delta State University, Cleveland, Miss., and formerly of Peabody, died Sept. 14.

The service is at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Peabody High School Brown Building, Peabody, with pastors James Pohlman Jr. and Sylvia Czarnetzky officiating.

Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2:30 p.m. in the same building.

He was born Sept. 27, 1975, to Thomas Eugene Schmidt and Jeffery Sue Pierce Schmidt. On Dec. 19, 1998, he was married to Elizabeth Ann Skolaut, who survives.

Other survivors include children Connor Schmidt, Dylan Schmidt and Brianna Schmidt, all of Cleveland; his parents; brothers Brett and Jennifer Schmidt of Topeka and Jeff and Carol Schmidt of Eudora; paternal grandmother Nellie Schmidt of Peabody; maternal grandfather Marshall Pierce of Newton; wife?s parents Chuck and Mary Skolaut of Newington, Conn.; sister-in-law Angie and Flynn Harvey of Liberty, Mo.; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and newphews.

Baker Funeral Home, 114 Sycamore, Peabody, KS 66866, is in charge of arrangements.
