Elaine E. Goertzen, 89, died Dec. 12 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
A burial service will be at 10 a.m, Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Alexanderwohl Church Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a memorial service is at 11 a.m. at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, 1304 N. Kansas Highway 15, Goessel, with pastors Linda Ewert and Steve Schmidt officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15 at Bethesda Home Chapel, 408 E. Main St., Goessel.
She was born Sept. 13, 1925, to Ernest and Prisca Krehbiel Bachman at Newton. On Dec. 26, 1947, she was married to Irvin Goertzen, who survives.
Other survivors include children Dick and wife Arylis of Beatrice, Neb., Keith and wife Cynde of Hutchinson, Nancy and husband Bob Becker of Stockton, Arlen and wife Anita of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Brad of Goshen, Ind.; sisters Florene Wiens of Newton and Kathryn and husband Don Penner of North Newton; brother Don and wife Helen Bachman of Hesston; sisters-in-law Elda Bachman of North Newton and Edna Ruth Graber of Hesston; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Bethesda Home or Good Shepherd Hospice and sent in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, 303 E. Main St., Goessel, KS 67053, also in charge of arrangements.
