Cora G. Schmidt, 93, a seamstress and homemaker of Hesston, died May 25 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
The service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 4, at Koerner Heights Church, Newton, with pastor Tim Mace officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery, Hesston.
She was born Sept. 9, 1921, to Peter A. and Agatha Schroeder Voth at Goessel. On Sept. 4, 1941, she was married to Eldon Schmidt, who predeceased her March 18, 2010.
Survivors include children Bryce Schmidt of Wichita, Gareth and wife Charlotte Schmidt of Goessel, Merrill and wife Sandy Schmidt of Newton, Colleen and Todd Gillespie of Asheville, N.C., and Bradford and Terrie Schmidt of Oceanside, Calif., sister Nada Voth of Walton; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-stepgrandchildren, one great-great stepgrandchild.
