Sherla J. Burkey-Hopp, 79, a homemaker, died Dec. 31, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Olson?s Mortuary in Canton. Burial will be in Canton Township Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to service time at the mortuary.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1929, to Guy L. and LaVina (Keefer) Schulz. In 1949, she was married to Preston J. Burkey, who predeceased her. In 1993, she was married to Lester L. Hopp, who predeceased her.
Survivors are sons Steven L. and Annette Burkey of Lindsborg and William J. and Sherri Burkey of Flagstaff, Ariz.; sister Annabelle and Marvin Gifford of McPherson; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Harry Hynes Hospice in Newton, both in care of Olson?s Mortuary, 139 N. Main, Canton, KS 67428.
