Anton A. ?Tony? Meyer, 97, a retired U.S. Navy commander, died Friday, May 8, at his home in Ramona.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at St. John?s Lutheran Church, 425 Main, Tampa, with pastor Clark Davis officiating. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel in Herington. Visitation continues Tuesday at St. John?s Lutheran Church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Tampa Cemetery.
He was born March 3, 1912, to J.F. and Wilhelmine H. (Brandt) Meyer on the family farm in Ramona.
Survivors include brother George Meyer of Ellinwood; healthcare giver Jessica Gilbert pf Ramona and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the City of Ramona for a memorial bench in his name or the donor?s choice and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS 67449-3038.
