Correction: Peabody Memorial Day service

Memorial Day activities in Peabody were in error as published in the Free Press this week.

The correct information is as follows:

The Memorial Day service begins at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

The program includes advance of colors, music “Amazing Grace,” Colors to half mast.

The invocation will be given by James Pohlman, preaching elder, who is also giving the Memorial address followed by the firing of salute.

Pohlman will give the benediction and colors to full mast by the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Sponsors include American Legion Post 95, Elmer S. Madsen VFW Post 6229, American Legion Post 95 Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion Post 95.

Others assisting in the service are Peabody-Burns Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, Peabody-Burns High School band with Laura Leitnaker directing.
