Family and friends of Paul Morse are planning a reception to celebrate his 80th birthday with a reception and come-and-go open house beginning at 2:04 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, in the fellowship hall of Emmanuel Baptist Church, 229 Walnut, Marion. Paul Morse, son of Hattie and Earl Morse, grew up in Marion. He is a graduate of Marion High School and Wichita State University. He taught Industiral Arts in Florence at Marion-Florence Middle School before moving to Salina, where he also taught and then became owner/manager of residential rental properties. He married Elaine Thelander in l969. They have three children, Lynette Morse of Chicago, Ill., Lisa Euzukonis and husband, Jason, of Boxford, Mass., and Justin Morse of Salina. They have two grandchildren, Alaina and Jackson Euzukonis. Paul and Elaine moved to Marion County Lake to retire.
