TC faculty to speak on student study tours

Two Tabor College faculty members will present “Explor­ing Student Study Tours: Israel and Greater Chicago” at the 60+ Learning in Retirement Program, Monday, March 12.

Jim Elliott, vice president for advancement, and Douglas Miller, professor of biblical and religious studies, will be the presenters.

During January 2007, Elliott and Miller led student groups to the greater Chicago area and Israel, respectively. Both will recap highlights from the trips.

Elliott has been at Tabor since 2002.

Miller has taught at Tabor since 1993 and currently chairs the Bible, religion and philosophy department.

The 60-plus session will begin at 10 a.m. in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center, located on the Tabor College campus.

Older adults are invited to attend. Enrollment is $15 per person a semester, $28 per couple or $4 a session.

In an effort to encourage participation, first-time visitors will be admitted free of charge. Registration and discount lunch cards will be available at the door. For more information, contact Connie Isaac, coordinator at 947-5964.
