Six student-athletes on the Tabor College women’s basketball team have been honored by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference following the 2007 regular season and conference tournament.
Donya Anderson was selected by unanimous vote of the conference coaches to both the all-KCAC team and the conference’s all-defensive team in her senior season.
Anderson, of Ardmore, Okla., has been feted by the conference in each of the last three seasons.
Emily Vogts, a senior from North Newton, Kan., was also honored on both the all-KCAC team and all-defensive team.
Vogts transferred to Tabor from Boston College and was named “co-newcomer of the year” by the KCAC in 2006.
Nicole Ellis, a senior from Sapulpa, Okla., and Stacie Herman, a junior from Derby, Kan., received honorable mention.
Andrea Robinson, of Jenks, Okla., and Erin Runge, of Newton, Kan., were both selected to the KCAC all-freshman team.
With a 24-4 overall record (13-3 in conference play), Tabor is currently ranked 13th among NAIA division II basketball teams and holds a #4 seed in the 32-team national tournament that opens at 8:30 a.m. on March 7.
