ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
The Tabor College theater department will present “Over the River and Through the Woods” March 8-11.
At the heart of Joe DePietro’s entertaining family comedy is a tight-knit, Italian-American family.
Every Sunday, bachelor Nick Cristano has dinner with his smothering maternal and paternal grandparents. As the only immediate family member left in the Hoboken, N.J., area, Nick gets his grandparents’ undivided attention, often to his exasperation, as well as his pleasure.
The doting grandparents are devastated when Nick announces his job promotion and move to Seattle. The grandparents band together to get their grandson to stay put.
Cast members are: David Campbell, Wichita (Nick Cristano); Samuel Flaming, Weatherford, Okla. (Frank Gianelli); Angela Buller, Ingalls (Aida Ginaelli); Shane Miller, Hutchinson (Nunzio Cristano); Kayla Vix, Wichita (Emma Cristano); and Brianne Tucker, Wichita (Caitlin O’Hare).
Performances will be in the Tabor College Theatre Lab at 7:30 p.m., March 8-10, and 3 p.m. on March 11. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for students.
