Hillsboro FCCLA members placed first in three events at the District G STAR Feb 7 in Newton.
Katrina Muzyka placed first in the junior division “Chapter Service Project” with the community teddy bear project.
Viktoria Bichet placed first in the senior division “Focus on Children” with a read-to-preschooler’s project.
April Young placed first in the senior division “Career Investigation” research project.
Members also helped with the events of the day. Jessica Allen was a student judge. Jayme Claassen and Brittany Davis were voting delegates for district officer selection. Shakiva Smith and Stephanie Abbott were room facilitators. Becky Steketee was a timer for Par-law contest. Kayla Letterman and adviser Monica Leihy also attended and helped with contests.
