The Senior A team of the Centre FFA Chapter recently placed third in the South Central District Dairy Foods Career Development Event in Marion.
Team members were Alisha Barney, Kylie Burhoop, Andy Carlson, and Kristine Jirak, who finished sixth overall.
The Senior B team had an finished first in its division, with all four team members finishing in the top 10 overall. Team members were Nathan Barney (eighth), Konley Harding (second), Savik Howard (first) and James Weber (ninth).
In the Greenhand division, the team finished fourth and Shelby Deines finished third individually.
During this activity, students are tested on their knowledge of dairy products by tasting milk for flavor and quality, identifying cheeses, distinguishing natural and artificial dairy products and several other components of dairy production.
