MHS wrestlers sweep duals

The Marion wrestlers traveled to Lyons last week for a double dual that included wrestlers from Lincoln.

Marion defeated both schools decisively.

Against Lincoln, the Warriors grabbed eight forfeit wins but went 1-3 on the mat.

Cody Wildin wrestled at 119 pounds and defeated Levi Hickman. Oliver Whitney (112), Dillon Wildin (130) and John Barr (152) were defeated by Mark Livesay, Tommy Knapp and Jake Livesay, respectively.

The Warriors went 7-1 against Lyons wrestlers and added five forfeit wins. Whitney defeated Adam Ramirez in the 112-pound match.

Adam Regnier wrestled at 125 pounds beat Nathaniel Cline. Tyler Neil (135), Charlie Holub (140) and Hank Collett (145) swept Caleb Miles, Braxton Stonebraker and Colton Clarke.

Ben Leppke (160) pinned Gavin Miller and Nick Klenda (189) pinned Josh Voth.

Lyons’ only non-forfeit win came when Tyler Ritter pinned Andrew Regalado in the 171-pound match.

Cody and Dillon Wildin each won forfeits against Lyons, as did Barr, Derek Riggs (215) and Doug Schroeder (275).
