The Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit is hosting an open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11,
Staff will be available to explain the interior renovations made during 2006 in keeping with the culture-change process begun in 2004.
The physical changes were designed to reduce the institutional appearance and to create a more home-like atmosphere for the people who live there.
HCMC has been recognized by the Kansas Department on Aging for culture change improvements by receiving KDA’s PEAK Award in 2005 and again in 2006.
