Six HHS singers picked for KMEA choir

Six Hillsboro High School singers have been selected to sing in the Kansas Music Educators Association State Honor Choir. Pictured from left: Aaron Stepanek, Tyler Suderman, Darren Enns, Audrey Weinbrenner, Michael Suderman, David Vogel. These students sing in the Hillsboro High School Concert Choir and Spirit-N-Celebration under the direction of Lynn Just. Students who have been in a state level group three consecutive years receive a medal. Stepanek and Tyler Suderman will receive this honor. More than 3,000 singers auditioned for the 260-voice choir that will rehearse during the KMEA convention in February. The choir will perform Saturday, Feb. 24 in the Century II Concert Hall.
