FFA members place at Kansas Beef Expo

Several members of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter placed well at the Kansas Beef Expo Judging contest Friday, Dec. 8, at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. Members evaluated eight classes of cattle representing eight breeds. Members also presented a set of oral reasons about the Chianina heifers. The team of Caleb Barkman, Ty Goossen, Alex Jost and Zach Jost placed fourth overall. Goossen placed 11th individually, Barkman 12th, Alex Jost 38th and Zach Jost was 53rd among the 154 individuals participating in the senior reasons division. Also judging for Hillsboro was Brea Allen.
