Bennie and Marie (Pierce) Holtsclaw of rural Cedar Point will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 20.
They were married in the First Christian Church Dec. 20, 1956, in Florence. After seven years in the U.S. Army, the couple returned to Cedar Point and farmed for 20 years. They later retired as corporate treasurers of a cable television construction corporation.
The couple had three daughters, Cynthia (deceased), Heidi (deceased) and Carol Grosse of Peabody. They have two grandchildren, Gabriel Demmit of Marion and Chelsea Demmitt of Peabody; and one great-granddaughter, Skyler of Peabody.
The couple plans a private anniversary celebration.
