Almost 200 wrestlers age 14 years and younger participated Saturday in the eighth annual Hillsboro Takedown Tournament.
The young wrestlers represented 18 clubs from central Kansas communities.
Including in that number were 21 participants in the Hillsboro Wrestling Club. Marion also had a club team competing.
The wrestlers were divided into five age groups, and each wrestler was assigned to a pool of three to four entrants.
Following are the results received for the Hillsboro participants.
<P— 6 & under: Mason Reedy 0-2 (3rd); Trace Jost 1-1 (2nd); Dakota Klein 2-1 (2nd); Jorge Hanschu 1-1 (2nd).
<P— 8 & under: Benjamin Koop 1-1 (2nd); Travis King 0-3 (4th); Ryan Schmidt 1-2 (3rd); Brandon Klassen 2-1 (2nd); Nathan Simhiser 2-1 (2nd); Braden Vogt 0-3 (4th); Tyson Reimer 1-2 (3rd); Marshall Reedy 1-2 (3rd); Jacob Funk 0-2 (3rd).
<P— 10 & under: Jakob Hanschu 2-0 (1st); Cody Delk 1-2 (3rd); Jesse Meier 1-2 (3rd).
<P— 12 & under: Brett Mueller 1-1 (2nd); Andrew Meier 0-2 (2nd).
<P— 14 & under: Dylan Delk 3-0 (1st); Darren Mueller 1-2 (2nd); Preston Nelson 1-2 (3rd).
