Prairie State Bank merges with Emprise

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
The merger between Emprise Bank and Prairie State Bank is now complete.

The 11 former Prairie State Bank locations-located in Sedgwick and Butler counties-became part of Emprise Bank Nov. 13.

Emprise now has 40 locations and ATMs across the state, including a branch in Hillsboro.

“The addition of the 11 Prairie State banks to the Emprise network provides more accessibility and convenience for our customers,” said Tom Page, president of Emprise Bank.

“This merger allowed us to expand our presence in Kansas. We think our customers will enjoy the accessibility of 40 banks and ATMs statewide.”

Although the merger gives Emprise more than $1 billion in assets, Emprise does not intend to relinquish its focus as a relationship-oriented, community bank.

“While our customers experience the benefits and services that we can provide as a larger bank, we can also use our expanded resources to give more back to the communities that we serve,” Page said. “It’s a win-win situation for everyone.”
