HES student earns colorful achievement

Hillsboro Postmaster Norman Bouie III watches as Kathy Woelk, sales and service assistant at the local post office, awards Vance Klassen his prize last week for winning a coloring contest promoting “Stamp Collecting Month” in the United States. Each second-grader was invited to color an outlined version of one of the 40 scenic commemorative stamps designed by the U.S. Postal Service. Vance’s efforts were rewarded with a book that includes fun facts about stamp collecting and a set of the 40 commemorative stamps.
