Christian recording artistto perform at Tabor Nov. 5

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Christian recording artist Jadon Lavik will perform at Tabor College on Sunday, Nov. 5, as part of Campus Visit Days.

The concert, to begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel-Auditorium in the H.W. Lohrenz Building, is part of Lavik’s “Life on the Inside Unplugged” fall tour.

Lavik’s music career started as a worship leader at Saddleback Church, most notable for being the church of best-selling author Rick Warren (“The Purpose-Driven Life”).

Lavik performed on numerous Saddleback Church CDs and sang in front of nearly 20,000 parishioners each week. As a result, he attracted the attention of BEC Recordings, which released his first CD, “Moving on Faith,” in 2004 to critical acclaim.

His second release, “Life on the Inside,” hit stores earlier this year.

Opening for Lavick is Tyler Clarensau, a Christian acoustic artist from Wichita who blends the sounds of acoustic pop, folks and electronic elements.

He has been compared to Lifehouse, John Mayer, Matt Wertz, Jack Johnson and Shawn McDonald. He has three recordings: “You and Me” (2006), “Scare Yourself” (2006) and “This Perfect Night” (2004).

General admission tickets are $10 and may be purchased at Thee Bookstore, Hillsboro, and Body & Soul, McPherson. To charge by phone, call the Tabor College Public Relations Office at 620-947-3121 ext. 1225 or KJIL 105.7 FM, toll-free, at 877-813-5366.
