Nursing home adopts ‘Golden Living Center’ as its name

Marion Manor is changing its name to Golden Living Center of Marion to reflect its objective of providing services in a new and better way, according to officials at the nursing home.

“Our vision is to become a long-term care organization that is all about living-a place that is focused on enriching the lives of our patients and residents, and providing them with dignity and purpose,” said Ruth Faulk, executive director. “We think our new name does a great job of communicating that vision.

“Last March, our parent company was involved in a merger transaction and reorganization,” Faulk added. “We’re excited about the new direction our company is taking as a result of the reorganization.

“We think the future is bright-not only for our employees, but for our patients and residents as well. A new name is a great way to highlight and celebrate this new direction.”

Golden Living Center of Marion provides for up to 72 residents, including those needing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care. The nursing home has been part of the Marion community since 1967.
