Karl Riffel, a 10-year-old fifth grader at Centre and a member of the Tampa Triple Ts 4-H club, exhibited the reserve champion Yorkshire market hog at the 2006 Kansas Junior Livestock Show this past weekend. Nearly 400 hogs were shown in the state-wide event held at the Kansas Coliseum. Karl also was invited back to participate in the invitation-only showmanship contest.
